Stonewater Names New President
EVANSTON, ILLINOIS—April 3, 2009—Kevin C. Kriegel has been named President of Stonewater Control Systems. Most recently, he served as the company's Chief Technical Officer. Since joining Stonewater in 1999, he has been involved in all aspects of management and sales. Kriegel has lead the design, testing and implementation of Energy 1st, Stonewater's energy monitoring and control platform, as well as Control 1st, its mobile network and sensory data management platform. These end-to-end systems are being deployed in the utility, transportation, military, and homeland security markets.
"I feel very privileged to head one of the finest advanced computing teams specializing in open source network management solutions, integration, and consultative services," Kriegel said. "We have an astounding array of projects before us this year for clients ranging from Southern Companies and PG&E on the utilities side to the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, NASA and USSOCOM on the military side. We are taking lessons learned from data acquisition and control of buildings for demand side management and implementing them in the highly secured military world."
Kriegel has more than 30 years of experience in a wide range of engineering disciplines including systems design, laboratory design, remote diagnostics, robotics, process control, and image processing. In 1995 he founded VisionMix Technologies, a firm specializing in robotic imaging systems. Prior to that he was Vice President of Engineering for Litho-Tronics Inc. Previously, Mr. Kriegel traveled internationally for various companies deploying imaging systems used in reconnaissance, enhancement, and medical diagnostics.
He founded the Association for Independent Service Engineers and was a founding member of the Earth Network, which began as an environmental television show in Chicago. Kriegel also has more than 20 sole inventor patent claims pending.
Kriegel has degrees in electronics as well as communication and is completing work on his MBA. He holds numerous industry-specific certifications in both computer networking and electronic systems.
He lives in Highland Park, Illinois, with his wife and daughter and has another married daughter living in Berkley, California. Kevin loves to sail the Great Lakes and enjoys playing jazz piano and drums.
